"Juan Bravo" Apartment
Versatility becomes a common language between architect Héctor Ruiz Velázquez and ALVIC. This conceptual affinity materialises once again in this comprehensive refurbishment of a 1948 flat, where the classic and the contemporary coexist in a spatial dance of fluid forms, noble materials and scenic light.
The project breaks with the original layout to create an open, luminous and theatrical home, where each room – kitchen, living room, hall, four bedrooms and two bathrooms – is sculpted as part of a cohesive architectural narrative. The intervention does not impose visual limits; on the contrary, it invites movement, a continuous spatial experience, as if each zone were a scene within a carefully directed play.
The chosen material palette reinforces this elegant and sensory atmosphere. ALVIC’s Syncron Woodline 02 range brings the warmth of wood with a textured realism that contrasts gently with the super-matt Zenit Arena surface, generating a subtle interplay between the tactile and the visual. All this is intertwined, elevating the whole to an almost palatial category, without losing functionality or contemporaneity.
The result is a home-scenario, where design becomes experience and each corner reveals the aesthetic sensitivity and technical precision of an architect who understands matter as a vehicle for emotion. A space that demonstrates that versatility – both as a virtue and as a tool – is not only possible, but also as a tool to be used as a tool for the creation of new spaces.
