Students from the UJA and five European universities visit ALVIC: Boosting talent with Erasmus+

At ALVIC, leaders in the manufacture of surfaces and components for furniture, we understand that innovation lies not only in our processes, but also in our constant support for the next generation. Recently, our facilities became an open classroom for students from the University of Jaén (UJA) and five other European universities.

This visit, part of the Erasmus+ KA131 programme, reaffirms our strategic commitment to education and the transfer of knowledge between the academic world and the business community.

Bridging The Gap: Connecting the University with the Business World

The event formed part of the international initiative “Bridging The Gap: Business Leaders Coach Students For Enhanced Skill Development”. This programme (BIP) aims to help students develop critical skills through direct contact with industry leaders.

The collaboration between ALVIC and the University of Jaén is an example of how theoretical training is enhanced when combined with a cutting-edge industrial environment. For the students, this is a unique opportunity to understand the global challenges faced by a company with an international presence.

A tour of industrial innovation

The visit was led by Nabil Benbaraka, ALVIC’s Export Manager, who guided the group through our production plant. During the tour, the students were able to learn about:

  • Advanced production processes: The technology behind our high-quality surfaces.
  • International outlook: How a company founded in Jaén competes and exports to all five continents.
  • Corporate culture: The value of efficiency, sustainability and leadership in business management.

“This experience allows students to understand in a practical way how academic knowledge translates into real solutions within a highly competitive industry,” noted Benbaraka during the visit.

ALVIC: Commitment to employability and young talent

Initiatives such as this reinforce ALVIC’s role as a driver of employability. By participating in programmes such as Erasmus+, we not only demonstrate our operational capacity, but also actively contribute to the development of the skills demanded by today’s labour market: adaptability, critical thinking and an international outlook.

The link between education and business is key to ensuring a prosperous future in the industrial sector. At ALVIC, we will continue to open our doors to talent so that, together, we can keep building the industry of tomorrow.
