Grupo Alvic and the University of Granada promote the Celia Bujaldón – Alvic Chair of Cancer Research

Our company, Grupo Alvic and the University of Granada (UGR) have signed an agreement to create the Celia Bujladón-Alvic Chair in Cancer Research. The agreement, signed by the Director of Institutional Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility of Grupo Alvic, Manuel A. Pizarro Simancas, and the Rector of the UGR, Pedro Mercado Pacheco, has as its main objective to promote research and training in the field of cancer.

Alvic will provide the Chair with an annual amount of 20,000 euros, which will be used for the activities established in the agreement and for collaboration in teaching and dissemination projects. In addition, the Chair will develop joint activities that include the training of research staff, research and transfer of results in the field of cancer, and the dissemination of publications on related topics of interest.

For his part, the Rector of the UGR, Pedro Mercado, highlighted the quality of the scientific research carried out by the Chair and highlighted the involvement and collaboration of the Alvic Group, underlining the importance of the Chairs as stable strategic alliances with the business sector, which allow the development of research, training, dissemination and transfer of knowledge.

This collaboration agreement reinforces the commitment of both entities to scientific research and the improvement of public health, highlighting the importance of collaboration between the academic and business sectors for the advancement of knowledge and the welfare of society.
